A tool for finding and exploring NZQA standards — built for NZ teachers and lecturers.
Version 1.1.0Tūhura Standards is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). It is an independent tool that reads publicly available data from the NZQA website.

To improve speed and reduce load on NZQA’s servers, Tūhura Standards caches standards data on its server:
Your saved Ed Orgs and filter preferences are stored only in your browser and never leave your device.
Open the Ed Orgs panel (top right) and scroll to Standards Data Cache. One manual refresh of the standards hierarchy is available per calendar day (NZ time), shared across all users. If the data has already been refreshed today by any user, it will be available again tomorrow.
All standards data comes directly from the NZQA Directory of Assessment and Skill Standards and the NZQA Education Organisations database.
Tūhura Standards is free to use and always will be. If you find it saves you time and you’d like to support its ongoing development and hosting costs, a small one-off contribution is very welcome — but there’s absolutely no obligation.
Tūhura Standards is actively developed and your feedback is very welcome. If you’ve found a bug, have a feature request, or want to share how you’re using the tool, please get in touch.
